حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَرَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَطَبَ يَسْتَنِدُ إِلَى جِذْعِ نَخْلَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَمَّا صُنِعَ لَهُ مِنْبَرُهُ اسْتَ
وَى عَلَيْهِ اضْطَرَبَتْ تِلْكَ السَّارِيَةُ كَحَنِينِ النَّاقَةِ حَتَّى سَمِعَهَا أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى نَزَلَ إِلَيْهَا فَاعْتَنَقَهَا فَسَكَنَتْ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ فَسَكَتَتْ وَقَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ فَاضْطَرَبَتْ تِلْكَ السَّارِيَةُ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ اضْطَرَبَتْ كَحَنِينِ

English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us — and Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us — Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) say: the Prophet ﷺ used to stand on Friday to give the sermon leaning against a tree or a palm trunk. A woman — or a man — from the Ansar said: 'O Messenger of Allah, shall we make a pulpit for you?' He said: 'If you wish.' So they made a pulpit for him. When it was Friday, he sat on the pulpit, and the trunk that he used to lean against moaned like the moaning of a camel until the Prophet ﷺ descended and placed his hand on it.
