English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) say: I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying while on his riding mount, praying voluntary prayers in whichever direction his mount faced. But when he wanted to pray an obligatory prayer, he would dismount and face the qiblah.
