Hadith #209
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَلَ فَأَتَى النِّسَاءَ فَذَكَّرَهُنَّ وَهُوَ يَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَى يَدِ بِلَالٍ وَبِلَالٌ بَاسِطٌ ثَوْبَهُ يُلْقِينَ فِيهِ النِّسَاءُ صَدَقَةً قَالَ تُلْقِي الْمَرْأَةُ فَتْخَهَا وَيُلْقِينَ قَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ فَتْخَتَهَا

English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr narrated to us, they said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, Ata' informed us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنه), he said: I heard him say: the Prophet ﷺ stood on the day of Eid al-Fitr and led the prayer, beginning with the prayer before the sermon. Then he gave the sermon. When he finished, he descended and came to the women. He reminded them while leaning on Bilal's arm, and Bilal spread out his garment for the women to place their charity in it.
