Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sayyar, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) that the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'When you enter at night, do not go to your family until the woman whose husband has been away grooms herself and the woman with disheveled hair combs her hair.' [the Prophet ﷺ also said:] 'When one of you has been away for a long time, let him not come to his family at night.'
