حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْ
Body (Matn)
جَعْدِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي فَإِنِّي أَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ أَقْسِمُ بَيْنَكُمْ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Name yourselves with my name, but do not use my kunyah [Abu al-Qasim], for I am Abu al-Qasim who distributes among you.'
