حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاء

ٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجَارُ أَحَقُّ بِشُفْعَةِ جَارِهِ يَنْتَظِرُ بِهَا وَإِنْ كَانَ غَائِبًا إِذَا كَانَ طَرِيقُهُمَا وَاحِدًا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Hushaym informed us, 'Abd al-Malik informed us, from 'Ata', from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A neighbor has more right to the pre-emption [shuf'ah] of his neighbor's [property]. He should wait for it even if the neighbor is absent, as long as their path is one [i.e., they share a common road].'
