English Translation
Muhammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Hisham, from al-Hasan, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you travel through fertile land, let the riding animals graze freely, and do not bypass the resting places. When you travel through barren land, hasten your pace. And when you stop to camp at night, keep away from the road, for it is the path of creatures and the refuge of snakes at night.'
