‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُفْيَانُ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْأَسْوَدِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نُبَيْحٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏جَابِرٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَمَرَ بِقَتْلَى ‏ ‏أُحُدٍ ‏ ‏أَنْ يُرَدُّوا إِلَى مَصَارِعِهِمْ ‏

English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Aswad, from Nubayh, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما) that the Prophet ﷺ ordered that the martyrs of Uhud be returned to their places of death [i.e., buried where they fell, not transported to Madinah].
