حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَكَّائِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ أَبِي الز
ُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّمَا قَوْمٍ كَانَتْ بَيْنَهُمْ رِبَاعَةٌ أَوْ دَارٌ فَأَرَادَ أَحَدُهُمْ أَنْ يَبِيعَ نَصِيبَهُ فَلْيَعْرِضْهُ عَلَى شُرَكَائِهِ فَإِنْ أَخَذُوهُ فَهُمْ أَحَقُّ بِهِ بِالثَّمَنِ

English Translation
Ziyad ibn 'Abdullah al-Bakka'i narrated to us, al-Hajjaj ibn Arta'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whatever people have a well among them [belonging to their community], the [first one to arrive has priority to use it]. No passerby may draw from it except with their permission.'
