حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ ع

Body (Matn)

َبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَمَشَى إِلَى النِّسَاءِ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ غَيْرُهُ فَأَمَرَهُنَّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ فَجَعَلَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ تُلْقِي تُومَتَهَا وَخَاتَمَهَا إِلَى بِلَالٍ

English Translation

Nasr ibn Bab narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from 'Ata', from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the two Eid prayers without adhan or iqamah. Then he gave the khutbah to us and commanded us to give charity. The women began giving their jewelry as charity.
