حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَن

ْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا طَعِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَمَصَّهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامٍ يُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِيهِ

English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you eats, let him not wipe his hand until he sucks it [licks his fingers], for he does not know in which part of his food the blessing lies.'
