English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما): "He prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the prayer of fear." He mentioned that the enemy was between them and the qiblah. "We lined up behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in two rows. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said takbir and we all said takbir. Then he bowed and we all bowed. Then he raised his head from bowing and we all raised. Then he prostrated and the first row with him prostrated, while the second row stood guarding. When the first row raised from prostration, the second row prostrated. Then the first row moved back and the second row moved forward, so the second row took the place of the first and the first took the place of the second. Then the Prophet ﷺ bowed and they all bowed, then he raised his head and they raised, then the row closest to him prostrated while the other stood guarding. When they finished, the other row prostrated. Then the Prophet ﷺ made salam and they all made salam."
