‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنِي ‏ ‏أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏جَابِرٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ ‏ ‏إِنَّا كُنَّا ‏ ‏نَبِيعُ ‏ ‏سَرَارِيَّنَا ‏ ‏وَأُمَّهَاتِ أَوْلَادِنَا وَالنَّبِيُّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏فِينَا حَيٌّ لَا يَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا ‏

English Translation

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, Abu al-Zubayr reported from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) that he heard him saying: "We used to sell our slave women who had borne children (ummahat al-awlad) while the Prophet ﷺ was alive among us, and he did not see any problem with that."
