English Translation
Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, Husayn ibn Waqid narrated to me, from Abu al-Zubayr, he said: 'I heard Jabir (رضي الله عنه) saying: "the Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who was rolling over (turning his back to his belly due to hunger). He asked about him, and they said: 'He is fasting, O Prophet of Allah.' He said: 'This is not righteousness — fasting while traveling.'"'
