English Translation

'Abd al-Samad ibn 'Abd al-Warith and Abu Sa'id narrated to us, both said: Za'idah narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), who said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ shrouded Hamzah (رضي الله عنه) in a single garment. When he covered his head, his feet were exposed, and when he covered his feet, his head was exposed. So the Prophet ﷺ covered his head with the garment and covered his feet with idhkhir (a fragrant grass)."
