English Translation
'Abd al-Samad ibn 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Muslim narrated to us, al-Husayn narrated to us, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), who said: "The people became thirsty on the day of Hudaybiyyah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a waterskin (qirbah) in front of him from which he was making wudu'. The people rushed towards him. He said: 'What is wrong with you?' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we have nothing to drink or to make wudu' with except what is in front of you.' He placed his hand in the waterskin, and water began to gush from between his fingers like springs. We drank and made wudu'." The narrator asked: "How many were you?" He said: "Even if we were a hundred thousand, it would have sufficed us. We were fifteen hundred."
