English Translation
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Harb — meaning Ibn Abi al-'Aliyah — narrated to me, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (رضي الله عنهما): "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a woman and was attracted to her. He went to Zaynab (his wife) and fulfilled his need with her. Then he came out to his companions and said: 'Indeed, the woman comes and goes in the form of a shaytan (i.e., she can be a source of temptation). So when one of you sees a woman that attracts him, let him go to his wife, for that will repel what is in his soul.'"
