حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ صَنَعَتْ لَهُ طَعَامًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْخُلُ عَ
لَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَدَخَلَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُدْخِلُ رَأْسَهُ تَحْتَ الْوَدِيِّ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ جَعَلْتَهُ عَلِيًّا فَدَخَلَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ

English Translation
Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), who said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the house of a woman from the Ansar who had prepared food for him. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'A man from the people of Paradise will enter upon you.' Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) entered. Then the Prophet ﷺ said: 'A man from the people of Paradise will enter upon you.' 'Umar (رضي الله عنه) entered. Then the Prophet ﷺ said: 'A man from the people of Paradise will enter upon you.' Then he said: 'O Allah, if You will, make him 'Ali.' And 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) entered."
