English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us who said: I asked Jabir about a man who takes the freed slave (mawla) of another man as his own client without the owner's permission. He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote upon every clan their blood-money obligations, and he wrote: 'It is not permissible for a Muslim to take the freed slave of another Muslim without his consent.' And whoever does that, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind. Neither repentance nor ransom will be accepted from him on the Day of Resurrection.
