حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَب

ِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْزُو فِي الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَّا أَنْ يُغْزَى أَوْ يُغْزَوْا فَإِذَا حَضَرَهُ أَقَامَ حَتَّى يَنْسَلِخَ

English Translation
Ishaq ibn Isa narrated to us, Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not wage war during the sacred month unless he was attacked or they were attacked. When that [sacred month] arrived, he would halt until it ended.
