Hadith #16

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ صَنَعْنَا لِرَسُولِ
اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَّارَةً فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا فَوَضَعْتُهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَاطَّلَعَ فِيهَا فَقَالَ حَسِبْتُهُ لَحْمًا فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَهْلِي فَذَبَحُوا لَهُ شَاةً

English Translation
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Abu Hilal narrated to us, Ishaq ibn 'Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), who said: "We prepared a ceramic pot (fakhkharah — a pot of food) for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I brought it to him and placed it in front of him. He ate from it and said: 'Give me more.' So I brought him more, and he ate, and said: 'Give me more.' So I brought him more, and he ate, then said: 'Give me more.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, there is nothing left.' He said: 'This food is blessed. If I had found more, I would have eaten.'"
