English Translation

Hujayn ibn al-Muthanna Abu 'Umar narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), who said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not wage war during the sacred month unless he was attacked or they (the enemy) attacked. When that happened, he would halt until the sacred month ended, then resume."
