حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنْ الْغُسْلِ قَالَ جَابِرٌ أَتَتْ ثَقِيفٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى
اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أَرْضَنَا أَرْضٌ بَارِدَةٌ فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنَا بِالْغُسْلِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَّا أَنَا فَأَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ

English Translation
Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr who said: I asked Jabir about ghusl (ritual bathing). Jabir said: The people of Thaqif came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'Our land is a cold land. How do you instruct us regarding ghusl?' He said: 'As for me, I pour water over my head three times.' — and he gestured with both his hands.
