Chain of Narration (Isnad)

‏ ‏وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏سَأَلْتُ ‏ ‏جَابِرًا ‏ ‏عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ وَالْإِنَاءُ عَلَى يَدِهِ لِيَشْرَبَ مِنْهُ فَيَسْمَعُ النِّدَاءَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏جَابِرٌ ‏ ‏كُنَّا نُحَدَّثُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏

Body (Matn)

قَالَ لِيَشْرَبْ ‏

English Translation

And with the same chain of narration, he said: I asked Jabir about a man who intends to fast and has a vessel in his hand to drink from, then he hears the call [to Fajr prayer]. Jabir said: We were told that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Let him drink.'
