English Translation

Musa and Hasan narrated to us, they said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The parable of the believer is like that of a stalk of grain — it bends at times and stands upright at times. And the parable of the disbeliever is like that of the pine tree (al-aruzah) — it does not sway, standing firm, until it is uprooted all at once.'
