English Translation

Hujayn and Yunus narrated to us, they said: al-Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) — that when they were present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Madinah and he sent the sacrificial animal [to Makkah], whoever wished among them entered ihram and whoever wished did not. They did not enter ihram [simply] because the Prophet ﷺ had sent the sacrificial animal.
