حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنِ الْحَسَ

نِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُنَّا نُسَافِرُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا صَعِدْنَا كَبَّرْنَا وَإِذَا هَبَطْنَا سَبَّحْنَا

English Translation

Rawh narrated to us, Ash'ath narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), who said: "We used to travel with the Prophet ﷺ. When we ascended (a hill), we would say 'Allahu Akbar' (takbir), and when we descended (a valley), we would say 'SubhanAllah' (tasbih)."
