حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ غِلَظُ الْقُلُوبِ وَالْجَفَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْإِيمَانُ فِي أَهْلِ الْحِجَازِ
English Translation
'Abdullah ibn al-Harith al-Makhzumi narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) saying: 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "Hardness of heart and coarseness are among the people of the East, while iman (faith) is among the people of the Hijaz."'
