حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَبُو خَيْثَمَة
َ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ وَلَا تَقْسِمُوهَا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لِلَّذِي أَعْمَرَهَا حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا وَلِعَقِبِهِ تَقْسِمُوهَا

English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Mu'awiyah Abu Khaythamah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Hold on to your properties and do not distribute them, for whoever gives a lifelong gift ('umra), it belongs to the one to whom it was given — to him and to his heirs.' It passes from the one who gave it to the one to whom it was given.
