English Translation

Hasan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The parable of the believer is like the parable of the stalk of grain: it stands upright at times and bends at times. And the parable of the disbeliever is like the parable of the cedar tree: it stands firm and does not shake until it is uprooted all at once.'
