English Translation

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far — 'Abd al-Rahman said: he is not al-Farra' — from Abu Salman, from Abu Mahdhura (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'I used to give the adhan during the time of the Prophet ﷺ at Masjid al-Haram. I would say the takbir four times at the beginning, then the two shahadas, then repeat them with a raised voice, then the two hayya 'ala, then the two takbirs at the end, then la ilaha illa Allah.'
