حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ أَبَا الْمِنْهَالِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ إِيَاسَ بْنَ عَبْدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَل

َيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ قَالَ وَالنَّاسُ يَبِيعُونَ مَاءَ الْفُرَاتِ فَنَهَاهُمْ

English Translation

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Dinar informed me that Abu al-Minhal informed him that Iyas ibn 'Abd, from among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, said: 'Do not sell surplus water, for the Prophet ﷺ prohibited the sale of surplus water.'
