Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَ
يْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ فِي النَّجْمِ وَسَجَدَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ قَالَ الْمُطَّلِبُ وَلَمْ أَسْجُدْ مَعَهُمْ وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُشْرِكٌ فَقَالَ الْمُطَّلِبُ فَلَا أَدَعُ السُّجُودَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا

English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Ibn Tawus, from 'Ikrimah ibn Khalid, from al-Muttalib ibn Abi Wada'ah who said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrate during [the recitation of] Surah al-Najm [53], and the people prostrated with him.'
