حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ وَمَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ لِي جَارِيَةً وَأَنَا أَعْزِلُ عَنْ
هَا فَقَالَ لَهُ مَا يُقَدَّرْ يَكُنْ فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ حَمَلَتْ فَجَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهَا حَمَلَتْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا قَضَى اللَّهُ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ إِلَّا هِيَ كَائِنَةٌ

English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash and Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) who said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I have a slave-girl and I need her for service, and I go around the date-palms and pollinate them, and I have relations with her, but I do not want her to become pregnant.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Practice 'azl (withdrawal) with her if you wish, for what is decreed for her will reach her.' The man came back after some time and said: 'She has become pregnant.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'I told you that what was decreed for her would reach her.'
