حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَجْلَحَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى
اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَائِشَةَ أَهَدَيْتُمْ الْجَارِيَةَ إِلَى بَيْتِهَا قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَهَلَّا بَعَثْتُمْ مَعَهُمْ مَنْ يُغَنِّيهِمْ يَقُولُ أَتَيْنَاكُمْ أَتَيْنَاكُمْ فَحَيُّونَا نُحَيَّاكُمْ فَإِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَوْمٌ فِيهِمْ غَزَلٌ

English Translation
Aswad ibn 'Amir narrated to us, Abu Bakr narrated to us, from Ajlah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to 'A'ishah (رضي الله عنها): 'Have you sent the girl to her husband's house?' She said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Did you not send along with her someone who could sing?' She said: 'No.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Ansar are a people who love singing. If only you had sent with her someone who would say: We came to you, we came to you, so greet us and we greet you!'
