قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْعَطَّافُ بْنُ خَا
لِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ غَزْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَرَوْحَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَمَوْضِعُ سَوْطٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

English Translation
He (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that ʿIṣām ibn Khālid and Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us. They said: al-ʿAṭṭāf ibn Khālid narrated to us, from Abū Ḥāzim, from Sahl ibn Saʿd al-Sāʿidī (رضي الله عنه) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying: 'A military expedition in the cause of Allāh is better than the world and all that it contains, and the space of a whip of one of you in Paradise is better than the world and all that it contains.'
