English Translation

Abū Saʿīd, the freed slave of Banū Hāshim, and Ḥasan narrated to us. They said: Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us, from Zabbān. Ḥasan said in his narration: Zabbān ibn Fāʾid narrated to us, from Sahl ibn Muʿādh, from his father [Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī] (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever eats food and then says: Praise be to Allāh who has fed me this food and provided it for me without any strength or power on my part — his past sins will be forgiven.'
