ِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ الْجَفَاءُ كُلُّ الْجَفَاءِ وَالْكُفْرُ وَالنِّفَاقُ مَنْ سَمِعَ مُنَادِيَ اللَّهِ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ يَدْعُو إِلَى الْفَلَاحِ وَلَا يُجِيبُهُ

English Translation

Ḥasan narrated to us: Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us: Zabbān narrated to us: Sahl narrated to us, from his father [Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī] (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ who said: 'It is the utmost rudeness, disbelief, and hypocrisy for one to hear the caller of Allāh calling to prayer and not respond.'
