English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who said: A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and gave him the pledge of allegiance upon Islam. The next day he came with a fever and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, release me from my pledge.' the Prophet ﷺ refused. He came again and said: 'Release me from my pledge.' the Prophet ﷺ refused. He came again and said: 'Release me from my pledge.' the Prophet ﷺ refused. The bedouin left, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Madinah is like the bellows — it expels its impurities and purifies its good.'
