‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏وَكِيعٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُفْيَانُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ ‏ ‏بَنِي فَزَارَةَ ‏ ‏تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى نَعْلَيْنِ فَأَجَازَ النَّبِيُّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏نِكَاحَهُ ‏

English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim ibn ʿUbaydillāh, from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿĀmir ibn Rabīʿah, from his father [ʿĀmir ibn Rabīʿah] (رضي الله عنه) that a man from Banū Fazārah married a woman for [a dowry of] two sandals. the Prophet ﷺ approved his marriage and said: 'Are you content with yourself and your wealth [at this amount]?' She said: 'Yes.' So he approved it.
