حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَسْوَدَ الْقُرَشِيُّ أ
َنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ خُصَيْفَةَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَزَالُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ مَا صَلَّوْا الْمَغْرِبَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ النُّجُومِ

English Translation
Hārūn ibn Maʿrūf narrated to us. ʿAbdullāh said: I also heard it from Hārūn. He said: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: ʿAbdullāh ibn Aswad al-Qurashī narrated to us that Yazīd ibn Khuṣayfah narrated to him, from al-Sāʾib ibn Yazīd (رضي الله عنه) that a woman came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and he said: 'O ʿĀʾishah, do you know this woman?' She said: 'No, O Prophet of Allāh.' He ﷺ said: 'She is the singing woman (qīnah) of such-and-such tribe. Would you like her to sing for you?' She said: 'Yes.' So he gave her a plate and she sang. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Shayṭān has blown into her nostrils.'
