حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ تَزَوَّجَ عَقِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا
فَقُلْنَا بِالرَّفَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ فَقَالَ مَهْ لَا تَقُولُوا ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ نَهَانَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ قُولُوا بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَبَارَكَ لَكَ فِيهَا

English Translation
al-Ḥakam ibn Nāfiʿ narrated to us, saying: Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Sālim ibn ʿAbdillāh, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl who said: ʿAqīl ibn Abī Ṭālib (رضي الله عنه) married, and he came out to us. We said: 'With harmony and sons!' He said: 'Do not say that. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ forbade it.' They said: 'Then what should we say, O Abū Yazīd?' He said: 'Say: May Allāh bless you and pour blessings upon you.'
