حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ وَأَوْسُ بْنُ الْحَدَثَانِ فِي أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ فَنَادَيَا أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ وَأَيَّامُ التَّشْرِيقِ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ
English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Sābiq narrated to us, he said: Ibrāhīm ibn Ṭahmān informed us, from Abū al-Zubayr, from Ibn Kaʿb ibn Mālik, from his father Kaʿb ibn Mālik, who narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent him and Abū Qatādah with a detachment. He said: We had an encounter and a battle with them. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent us to destroy the idol of Dhū al-Khalasah, and we burnt it and destroyed it.
