English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd, who said: I heard Bushayr ibn Yasār say: I heard Suwayd ibn al-Nuʿmān — a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, from the Companions of the Tree — say: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and those with him were given sawīq (barley drink) during the year of Khaybar. When they came to a place, he ordered to prepare food, and nothing was prepared except sawīq. He commanded that it be moistened, and the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ate and we ate. Then he stood for prayer and rinsed his mouth, and we rinsed our mouths, and he prayed and did not perform ablution.
