حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو

الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ يَسْتَجِنُّ بِهَا الْعَبْدُ مِنْ النَّارِ هُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ

English Translation
'Attab ibn Ziyad narrated to us, 'Abdullah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to me, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'Fasting is a shield by which the servant protects himself from the Fire. It is Mine and I reward for it.'
