English Translation

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Yaḥyā narrated to us, from Bushayr ibn Yasār, from Suwayd ibn al-Nuʿmān, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ during the year of Khaybar. When we reached al-Ṣahbāʾ and he had prayed ʿAṣr, he called for food, but nothing was brought except sawīq (parched barley meal). He commanded that it be moistened, and the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ate and we ate. Then he stood for Maghrib prayer and rinsed his mouth, and we rinsed our mouths, and he prayed without performing ablution.
