حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ ع

َنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْحُمَّى فَوْرُ جَهَنَّمَ فَابْرُدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Abū al-Aḥwaṣ narrated to us, he said: Saʿīd ibn Masrūq narrated to us, from ʿAbāyah ibn Rifāʿah, from his grandfather Rāfiʿ ibn Khadīj, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'Fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it with water.'
