Hadith #110

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنِ النَّحَّازِ الْحَنَفِيِّ أَنَّ سِنَانَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِلُحُومِ حُمُرِ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ وَهِيَ فِي الْقُدُورِ فَأُكْفِئَتْ
English Translation
Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī narrated to us, he said: Ḥarb ibn Shaddād narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from al-Naḥḥāz al-Ḥanafī, that Sinān ibn Salamah informed him, from his father, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ordered that the adhān be called before dawn so that the people eating sahūr could finish eating and those who were praying night prayer could be alerted to the approaching Fajr.
