Hadith #114

English Translation

Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUrwah, from Kurz ibn ʿAlqamah al-Khuzāʿī, who said: A man said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, does Islam have an end (a point of culmination)?' He said: 'Any household from the Arabs or non-Arabs whom Allāh wishes good for — Allāh introduces Islam into them.' — and he said in another place: 'Yes. Any household from the Arabs or non-Arabs whom Allāh wishes good for — Allāh introduces Islam into them. Then tribulations come like pieces of a dark night. One of you leaves Islam just as the arrow leaves the bow.'
