حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ عَنْ أَ
بِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ كَاشِفٌ عَنْ فَخِذِهِ فَقَالَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, from Mālik ibn Anas, from Abū al-Naḍr, from Zurʿah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Jarhad, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet ﷺ passed by him while he had his thigh uncovered. He said: 'Cover your thigh, for the thigh is ʿawrah (part of what must be covered).'
